Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. James is the father of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He has the Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. In 2010, James completed his studies at Sanderson High School. Then the following year, he attended Wake Forest University in order to earn a Bachelor's degree in Science in Economics. James became famous when he became a reality television participant on The Bachelorette. In 2020 he got selected to be the next bachelor for The Bachelor's season 25, becoming The first African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James was the ideal fit to play the role. He's beautiful and tall with a an innate sense of humor. Rachael Krukconnell became James's love interest towards the conclusion of the season. In 2021 he partnered with the famous dancer Arnold to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.
